Feel informed and empowered to have a positive birth experience & enter motherhood with confidence. By 3x momma and Certified Birth Doula.
Positive birth experiences don't just happen by accident.
Women are often not taught (or mistaught) about birth.
Women used to be present for multiple births (friends, family, community) before being pregnant for the first time themselves.
But today, birth has become a black box of uncertainty.
The average young woman knows very little about labor and birth.
And because nobody is intentionally teaching women about birth...
Women form expectations based on tv shows, social media and scary stories.
Media feeds us extremes: picture perfect or the worst-case-scenario (Grey's anyone?).
And the stories we hear from friends and family skew negative.
Because of this, it's common to enter pregnancy for the first time with misconceptions about what birth entails and unaddressed fears of the unknown.
Women enter labor and birth uninformed about their choices and afraid.
And as you can imagine, that makes it hard to have a positive birth experience.
When you don't feel informed or empowered, you end up feeling like a patient instead of a mother birthing her child into the world.
That's why I created this: to empower you with information and help you address your fears..ahead of time!
spoiler alert: Friends is not a helpful source of birth education...
I'm a momma of 3, licensed speech therapist and certified birth doula!
After my own positive birth experience, I was flooded with memories of how many women shared their stories of trials, disappointments, and even trauma from their birth experiences.
I cannot express to you the righteous indignation I feel whenever I hear of a woman whose feelings were ignored, whose natural process was interrupted, or who was scared into situations without all of the information to make an informed choice (if a choice was even presented).
It is because of these stories and experiences that birth has become, to so many people, something to be feared.
I believe that whether you give birth at home or in the hospital, vaginally or via cesarean section, with medication or without, EVERY. SINGLE. WOMAN. deserves to feel empowered, loved, and in control.
This comes through education, information, and support of your motherly intuition.
This comes from feeling safe, feeling complete trust, and willingness to be vulnerable.
That's why I created this course.

Thanks to Dana, I couldn't be more happy with my natural birthing experience.
I know it took hard work on my end but I also know that without Dana, my experience would have looked much different!
She knows exactly what she is doing and cares so much about ALL of her clients (mother, baby & partner/spouse).
second-time mom
Dana is wonderful! She is responsive, listens to your concerns and is there for you every step of the way.
She helped us prepare for labor by teaching my husband and I useful techniques and helping me have a more spiritual mindset leading up to and during labor.
I don't think I would have had as peaceful and smooth a labor as I did if it wasn't for Dana!
first-time mom
I benefited most by having Dana as our coach - making sure I was moving, breathing properly through contractions, sleeping, and talking us through each part of the day.
It felt like we were a cohesive team and that was exactly what we wanted!
I want you to be...
For you to know what the latest scientific evidence says so that you can make informed decisions about your birth plan instead of simply doing what is "common practice" in US hospitals.
(unfortunately, common practice ≠ evidence based practice)
For you to identify any fears you have around birth before you're in labor so you can address them ahead of time.
And so you can walk away with an actionable plan to set yourself up for the positive birth experience you deserve.
For you to feel informed entering pregnancy so you can give birth confidently.
Which means understanding what birth actually entails (not what's portrayed on tv).
Like in many industries, there is a lag between the latest scientific evidence and what is common practice in hospitals.
It can be empowering.
Our minds and bodies are deeply connected. Labor and birth are mental, spiritual and physical.
Knowing your rights and having a plan beforehand empower you to be in the driver's seat of birth.
It can be natural and unmedicated (if you want it to be).

I've never intentionally been taught about birth.. I've only heard stories (most of them scary), but I know birth can be a beautiful thing.
So glad I took this - now I have clear steps I can take to prepare for the birth I want!

This was so informative! There were so many things I heard for the first time. I will definitely be coming back to this when I get pregnant.
I highly recommend this for anyone who knows they want to be pregnant one day.

Uhmm..I didn't know any of this 😅
I took a lot of notes started conversations with my mom to learn what her experience was like giving birth to me.
So glad I'm learning this now instead of waiting until I'm pregnant!
